"My name is Yulia and I am a photographer from Russia. Since I got my first DSLR camera about 4 years ago, photography has become an essential part of my life. My lust for discoveries and travel brought me on cruise ships, where I am currently working. I combine my job with my personal portrait photography. I would describe my photos as peaceful, gentle and a bit melancholic."
When did you start taking photos and what inspired you to get started?
My interest in photography started a few years ago. It started from admiring photographers and artists, who are able to create beauty, to conceptualize, to make their own little world, where they give freedom to their ideas. I always wanted to try doing something as awesome as they do and develop my own style in shooting and editing. So I decided to go for it.
Do you have a favorite location and time of the day to shoot?
No matter where I shoot I try to avoid a strong daylight. I like shooting just before sunset or ideally on a cloudy day, so I can get nice and soft tones. My favourite part of the year to shoot is spring, when trees start blooming.
