| Photo by Rich Johnson | "I took this photo with my Nikon D600 and a sound trigger. This was done with a sound trigger and a pocket wizard flex tt5 with hyper sync allowing a shutter speed of 1/1000 of a second. I set it to trigger my camera 150th of a second after the water balloon popped. THE ONLY PHOTOSHOP was putting all of them together and a few face swaps due to closed eyes. Created for Aaron's Leak Detection in Orlando, FL. I was inspired by Tim Tadder's water wig series." - Rich | New opportunities with the awesomest brands and judges | Be one of the first photographers to enter Explore your creativity while there's still time | Last call to submit your photos, or just check out the entries. Hi Paul, please tell us a bit about yourself? I grew up in Pittsburgh and went to grad school in Florida before moving to Southern California. Music has always been one of my favorite things as my father introduced me to a lot of classic rock and blues at an early age. The first concert that I ever say was in 1988 when I was in 5th or 6th grade. We were on the floor of the old Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh seeing Pink Floyd on the “Delicate Sound of Thunder” tour. Needless to say I was completely blown away. In the following years we caught a lot of shows together including The Who, Bob Dylan, Yes, and Traffic. I was hooked. Can you share some tips with aspiring photographers? Follow your own path. Also don’t waste too much time on social media. Your time is precious and it should be used to move yourself forward rather than stay in the same place.
